It will now feature hill-hold, proximity unlock, ride moods, motor sounds and much more
Ola has launched its most affordable e-scooter, the S1 Air, at the price of a petrol-powered scooter. Read the launch story here.
The deliveries of the Ola S1 Pro started in December of 2021. However, the e-scooter was delivered to the customers without a number of features that were promised initially. But to honour that, these features will now be launched on MoveOS 3.0, just before Diwali on October 22nd.
Most importantly, the S1 will now get faux engine sounds that resemble the woosh of a UFO. And fortunately, we spotted a couple of the e-scooters testing the MoveOS 3.0, and here’s what it sounds like.

Apart from that, the S1s will also come packed with multiple features including hill-hold, proximity unlock, ride moods, regenerative braking V2, hypercharging, calling and key sharing. What could be interesting is if Ola also throws in the voice assist feature with this update.
At present, the S1 costs Rs 99,999, while the S1 Pro is priced at Rs 1,39,999 (both prices effective ex-showroom including Fame II). There’s also a discount of Rs 10,000 on the S1 Pro for the current festive season, which reduces its price to Rs 1,29,000. The Ola S1 rivals the likes of the TVS iQube Electric, Bajaj Chetak, Vida V1 and the Ather 450 Plus.
