Ola Electric launched the Roadster line-up including 3 electric bikes. The Ola Roadster Pro electric bike is the top-end model in the line-up that is performance-oriented, has the highest range and is loaded with features. It is available in 2 variants: 8kWh and 16kWh, priced at Rs 1,99,999 and Rs 2,49,999 (all prices ex-showroom) respectively. While the bookings are open, the company promises to start deliveries in the 2025 festive season (around October). In the meanwhile, there’s a variety of bikes and scooters you can opt for in the market in the same price range, let’s check them out:
Royal Enfield Classic 350 - Starting from Rs 1.95 lakh (ex-showroom)

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is not only one of the most popular retro roadster-style bikes in the market but is also Royal Enfield’s best-seller in their line-up. The bike is powered by the 349cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder J-series engine that produces a peak output of 20.21PS at 6100rpm and 27Nm at 4000rpm and is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. In terms of features, it was recently updated with an LED headlight, taillight and pilot lights. It also has dual-channel ABS and a USB charger as standard. The bike is available in 7 new attractive colours like Emerald, Jodhpur Blue & Madras Red, Medallion Brown, Commandos Sand and Stealth, a variety of colours to choose from.

Yamaha R15M - Priced at Rs 1.96 lakh (ex-showroom)

The Yamaha R15M is the most popular entry-level supersport bike from the Japanese manufacturer. The R15M is the higher variant of the Yamaha R15 V4. What’s different is that the R15M comes in a Metallic Grey colour. It is equipped with a colour TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity which enables the rider to receive call/SMS alerts, phone battery levels, fuel consumption tracker, last parking location and malfunction notification. It is powered by a 155cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) which makes 18.4PS and 14.2Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and comes with a quickshifter as standard. The bike is also fitted with additional features/accessories like a traction control system, dual horns and LED turn indicators.

The KTM Duke 200 is a sports naked-style bike from KTM. It is offered in 2 colours: Electronic Orange and Dark Galvano and is adorned with aggressive styling and bodywork. The bike is powered by a 199.5cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 25PS and 19.3Nm, quite sporty for a 200cc engine. It is equipped with an LED headlight and LED DRLs, dual-channel ABS with the option to turn the rear ABS off in the Supermoto Mode. It comes with a rather basic LCD instrument cluster that displays basic information like speed, engine RPM, fuel level, real-time mileage, average mileage and average speed, along with a clock.

Suzuki V-Strom SX - Priced at Rs 2.11 lakh (ex-showroom)

The Suzuki V-Strom SX is a 250cc entry-level adventure tourer bike. While it is based on its sibling the Gixxer 250, it gets a proper ADV treatment inspired from Suzuki’s older DR-BIG bike. It is available in 3 colour options: Pearl Blaze Orange, Champion Yellow No. 2, and Glass Sparkle Black. The bike is powered by a 249cc 4-stroke, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, SOHC engine that makes 26.5PS and 22.2Nm and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Considering it is an adventure-style bike it offers 205mm of ground clearance. The TVS X is the manufacturer’s flagship electric scooter with a futuristic design that stands out. Its 7kW motor is paired with a 4.44kWh battery pack with a claimed IDC range of 140km (Indian Driving Conditions). The electric scooter takes around 1 hour to charge from 0-50% with its 3kW fixed charger and around 3 hours and 40 minutes to charge from 0-80% with a 950W portable charger. It is equipped with a 10.2-inch TFT touchscreen that provides customization options and is tilt-adjustable for optimal visibility.
