Ola Electric is all set to introduce its new Over The Air (OTA) update for the Ola S1 range soon, called the MoveOS 2.0. The company’s CEO Bhavish Aggarwal tweeted video clips showing some of the features, including improved navigation.
At the moment, navigation is available only in select cities, that too is operated via the touchscreen instrument cluster only. But now, with the new update, Ola users from other cities should also be able to access navigation. Apart from this, the update will also include other features such as cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, and performance enhancements. A dedicated ‘Companion’ app will also be introduced, ensuring the features are even more intuitive to use. We could also expect hill hold and voice assistant to be added in this update.

Bhavish Aggarwal had earlier tweeted that the MoveOS 2 will be rolled out by the end of this month, and now with the teasers, expect them to be out in a few days. Ola had promised several features but a few of them were not offered right from the get go. Thankfully, with the new update, the electric scooter should feel a bit more ‘complete’.

Ola Electric will be hiking the price of the Ola S1 Pro in the next purchase window, so if you’re planning to buy one, be prepared to shell out more. The company is also working with StoreDot, a battery tech company, that offers batteries with extreme fast charging technology with 0-100 percent charge in just five minutes.
