Some rumors can make you sit and be alert! Here’s one of such rumors that not only woke us up but has the potential to wake you up as well. Remember the unveiling of Mahindra Mojo 300 as long back as in 2010? It’s back in news again to set your pulses on a high again. We agree it was long time back when it geared up your pulses, but then here’s something to cheer up those hopes once again. Mahindra Mojo 300 is making a comeback in news. Rumors are that Mahindra might yet again start working on the launch of this bike. As per the rumors, the bike might get to see the sunlight in next 12-18 months. Italian design firm, Engines Engineering, a company that was earlier owned by Mahindra, had worked hard for the design on Mojo.
Mojo 300 was more or less based on Malaguti MR250, an Italian motorcycle. Malaguti comes with a 292 cc, single cylinder, 4-stroke engine empowering it. Mojo too gets a 292 cc, 4-stroke, single cylinder engine that can churn a peak power of 25.8 BHP and 24 Nm of peak torque. With a liquid cooled, 4 valve, DOHC layout, it got its fuel injection system designed by Ducati Energia. This fuel injection system knows when and how much fuel will be needed by the bike. Weighing 160 kg, the bike comes with a six-speed manual transmission engine. The bike would come with and radial tyres and large petal disc brakes, as large that back in 2010 it was claimed to be the largest in India.
As per these specifications of the engine, it could be easily that if the bike does see the light, it would compete with Honda CBR 250R. Deemed to be a flagship model for Mahindra’s two wheelers, it sure is expected to be a hot runner on the roads! Since the sports bikes segment is on a rise in India, if (it’s generally the ‘ifs and buts’ about this bike) Mojo 300 is launched, there’s no stopping it from winning over all others. Other hot expectations are Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS, that might be seen running this week itself, and KTM hottie KTM Duke 350.
