Piaggio Inaugurates Second Motoplex store in India

Following the success of its first Motoplex store in Pune, Piaggio has opened its second premium retail concept store in India in the city of Hyderabad.

The Italian company Piaggio has seven premium two-wheeler brands under its umbrella, out of which three are available in the Indian market - Vespa, Aprilia, and Moto Guzzi. Motoplex is a premium retail concept store of the company that offers products from all of these brands under one roof. The first Motoplex store was opened in India in Nov 2015 in Pune, garnering much popularity and success in the city. Inspired by that, the company is expanding the network of its globally popular innovative concept stores in India. Now, it has inaugurated another Motoplex in the country in the city of Nizams, Hyderabad.

Piaggio’s Hyderabad Motoplex was inaugurated by Tollywood heartthrob, Naga Chaitanya, in the presence of Mr Stefano Pelle, managing director and CEO, Piaggio Vehicles Private Ltd. (PVPL). Encompassing an area of 4,134 sq. ft. at Jubilee Hills, the store is a place for patrons to discover the essence of the Piaggio Group and its lineage, with brands like Vespa, Aprilia and MotoGuzzi on display.

Commenting on the inauguration of new Motoplex store, Stefano Pelle said, “It is a proud moment for Piaggio Group to bring our flagship store to Hyderabad, our second in India and first in the south of the country. Motoplex as a concept introduces the passion of Italian biking all under one roof by offering an exciting overview of the two-wheeler world, reflecting the innovative vision of the Piaggio Group. The store not only showcases the long-standing history of our brands - Vespa, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi but also highlights their fascinating journey that proudly stands for ‘Made in Italy’.”

Currently, Piaggio's scooter-only brand is offering the Vespa, Vespa Elegante, Vespa VXL 125, Vespa SXL 125, Vespa VXL 150, and the Vespa SXL 150 in India. Its performance motorcycle brand, Aprilia, sells the SRV 850 ABS ATC, Caponord 1200 range, Mana 850, Dorsoduro 1200, Tuono V4 1100 range and the most popular RSV4 supersport range here. Coming to the cruiser brand, Moto Guzzi, they offer the Griso 1200, California, Audace and Eldorado in the country. All these models are available at the Motoplex stores, which are also coming to some other metro cities of the country in near future.
