Vespa 946 Emporio Armani

Piaggio is launching its Vespa 946 at an unbelievable price range of Rs. 18- 20 Lac as makers want to make it an image kind of product. This Italian company will launch the Vespa 946 in two variant, i.e., the Bellissima and the Emporio Armani. Along with this, GTS 300 will also be launched and will be known as the biggest, fastest scooter around. This company is already enjoying a great time as it has won lots of hearts at 2016 Auto Expo.

Vespa 946 comes with a premium style that includes a traditional LED headlamp, floating seat, elegant alloy wheels, chromed rear view mirrors while the Vespa GTS 300 has a long seat that offers optimum comfort to the rider as well as pillion and also has backrest stand for the pillion. As seen in the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani (image above) it gets air vents at the front apron and Vespa 946 Bellissima (image below) also features the same.

According to TopGear, CEO of Piaggio India, Stefano Pelle, has confirmed the news of launch and said, "The 946 is being homologated for India right now. It is very expensive, is clearly not a mass product. It won't boost volumes, but it's not supposed to. It is an image kind of product."

The company has confirmed the schedule of the launch of this machine in the country along with GTS 300 in mid-2016. Both the machines will be quite expensive if compared to Vespa’s current Indian line-up. Though the GTS 300 is not as expensive as Vespa 946, it is likely to be priced somewhere around Rs. 12 lac.

Vespa 946 gets its power from a 125cc engine and will be fitted on 12-inch wheels. The scooter is designed with a gorgeous appearance and is a result of the great effort put together by the maker. On the other hand, the GTS 300 is powered by a 278cc motor that will develop a 21.2bhp of power which is the maximum power in the scooter segment. Both the scooters will feature a disc brake at both the front and the rear, Traction Control and Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) as a standard.

Every car and bike manufacturer wish to roll out, at least, one machine which is only looked on as a collector’s piece. They successfully manage to get such admirers too who proudly display these limited editions possessions in their garages. Piaggio has also rolled out its ultra-expensive machines and will surely look for the perfect buyers. It will be really interesting to see who makes it to the list of first buyers of Vespa 946 series. Stay tuned with us as we will be keeping an eye on this.
