Piaggio Vespa Opens New Dealership in Hyderabad

Piaggio has inaugurated a new Vespa dealership in Hyderabad. This facility of retro-look scooters is situated at Banjara Hills and was inaugurated by a Telugu movie star, Sharwanand. This new showroom also has a workshop close by for convenience of the customers. Speaking at the event, Kalyan Ashwam, dealership owner, said, “We are glad to be associated with Vespa. Today marks a historic moment in the Indian two-wheeler segment as the iconic global celebrity is being made available to patrons in Hyderabad.”

Piaggio Vespa currently offers a range of 125cc and 150cc scooters in India. In November 2015, the manufacturer launched Vespa SXL and VXL in 125cc and 150cc trims. These are available with a starting price of Rs. 78,309 and Rs. 82,957 respectively. The latest and most powerful 150cc engine by the company is a 4-stroke, single cylinder, air-cooled unit that also comes mated to a CVT transmission like the 125cc engine. It generates a maximum power of 11.5bhp at 7,000rpm and a peak torque of 11.47Nm at 5,500rpm.
