New year starts with lots of good news for the motorcycle enthusiasts. And one of the major is the iconic American motorcycle maker Indian Motorcycle is all set to launch its amazing cruisers in India on 22nd of January, 2014. We have already got an “save the date” invitation for the event, however all other details are yet to be announced. We are expecting all the three models of its cruiser Chief, which are Classic, Vintage and Chieftain.
All the three models of the Indian Chief share the same Thunder stroke 111 engine, which is a 1720cc V-twin. Mated with a 7-speed gearbox, the engine churns out a peak torque of 161.6Nm. All other technical specifications of the bike also similar, while they look different by their cosmetic changes like wind shield, seat, saddle bags, front fairing and some small graphical changes.
These bikes will compete with Harley Davidson Bikes in India, which has a wide range of cruisers in different price segments. However, Indian bikes can give a tough competition by aggressive pricing of the bike in comparison to the similar segment Motorcycles of H-D.
