At USD 3,500 (approximately Rs 2.58 lakh), the Flash 300S is priced quite attractively
Benelli’s parent company QJ Motors has launched the Flash 300S cruiser at the Chongqing Motor Show in China. This brawny cruiser is priced at around USD 3,500 (approximately Rs 2.58 lakh) and packs quite a lot for the price Here’s what you need to know.
In typical cruiser fashion, the Flash 300S sits quite low and gets bulky bodywork. It’s equipped with an LED headlight topped by a wide handlebar. The shape of the fuel tank and the design of the wide seat rear end is reminiscent of the Harley Davidson Forty-Eight.

QJ has plonked a 296cc liquid-cooled V-twin motor in the Flash 300S. It claims to dish out 31.43PS and 26Nm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a chain drive unlike the previous speculations of a belt drive system.
The underpinnings are quite decent. You get a chunky USD fork and twin rear springs, meanwhile braking is taken care of by discs at both ends. The QJ Flash 300S rolls on a 16-inch front and 15-inch rear alloy wheel. It tips the weight scale at 163kg. The 715mm seat height should suit shorter riders just fine.
QJ Motors has no intentions of entering India anytime soon, so the FLash 300S is a distant dream. But Benelli sells several bikes in India, the 502C cruiser being the most recent launch. In fact, we spent our fair share of saddle time and here’s what we thought of it.
