The Royal Enfield Bear 650 has been leaked before its official unveil on November 5, a full reveal video of the bike has been leaked on social media. The bike’s production images were leaked a while back and it will be based on the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
The leaked images and the trailer shows that the bike will be available in at least 3 colours. A yellow and blue scheme, white tank with a green chassis, and another colour which will get gold forks. Apart from the colour schemes, we also know that the Royal Enfield Bear 650 will have longer travel suspension than the Interceptor 650 and it will have an inverted fork unlike the telescopic one on the Interceptor. The Bear 650 will have a 19/17-inch spoke wheels setup and dual purpose tyres.
Other noticeable changes include a wider and raised handlebar, and the 2-into-1 exhaust. The raised handlebar will give the Bear a more upright riding posture. The video reveals that that 2-into-1 exhaust has a purpose to it. The exhaust will make the bike lighter and also increase the ground clearance of the motorcycle to help offroad. If you listen carefully, the exhaust has a distinctive note to it and sounds really good. On the features front, the bike will get the same circular TFT screen found on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the Guerrilla 450.
The Royal Enfield Bear 650 will share the same engine as the Interceptor 650, a 648cc air & oil-cooled parallel-twin engine that delivers a peak output of 47PS at 7,150rpm and 52Nm at 5,250rpm. It comes with a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. Royal Enfield may tweak the sprocket sizes and gear ratios on the Bear 650 to make it better suited for off-road riding.
Royal Enfield has stated that the official reveal of the motorcycle will take place on the 5th of November at the EICMA motor show. We expect the bike to be available on sale in India sometime in late December or early next year. The expected starting price is around Rs 3.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
