SRC250 and SRC500 teased, launch likely at IBW 2022

Moto Vault has teased the launch of two new motorcycles. And no, this is not another Moto Morini or Zontes bike. The multi-brand dealership chain is all set to introduce QJMotor to India which is in line with a report from a few weeks back.

Based on social media teasers, we will soon be seeing the QJMotor SRC250 and SRC500 retro bikes in India. QJMotor is owned by the same parent company as Benelli and Keeway, and will begin its Indian innings in partnership with Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI). AARI’s multi-brand dealership is Moto Vault.

You might think there will be a lot in common between the SRC250 and SRC500 retro bikes. However, both bikes feature unique design languages. The SRC250 is powered by a 249cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin engine producing 17.7PS and 16.5Nm which is as underwhelming as the Keeway K-Light 250V’s 250cc V-twin mill that produces 18.7PS and 19Nm.

Propelling the QJMotor SRC500 is a 480cc, air-oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 25.8PS and 40Nm. For perspective, the Benelli Imperiale 400’s 374cc engine produces 21PS and 29Nm. This bike is underpinned by a telescopic fork and twin rear shocks while also getting wire-spoke rims, which are in line with the retro aesthetic.

While there is no launch date set yet, Moto Vault is most likely to launch these bikes at India Bike Week in Goa.
