The Royal Enfield Classic 350 has been launched with dual-channel ABS at Rs 1.53 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). That’s a premium of around Rs 6,000 over the standard variant. With this update, Royal Enfield has equipped pretty much its entire portfolio, barring the Bullet range, with dual-channel ABS.
Aside from the addition of ABS, the Classic 350 remains unchanged. The bike draws power from a 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that makes 20PS of power at 5,250rpm and 28Nm at 4,000rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed transmission. The bike’s tank capacity stands at 13.5-litres.
The Classic 350 uses a single downtube frame with the engine as a stressed member. Suspension duties are handled by conventional telescopic forks and a twin shock absorber setup at the rear. Its braking setup comprises of a single 280mm disc mated to a twin-pot caliper up front and a 240mm disc brake at the rear. The bike’s 19-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels come wrapped in 90/90 and 110/90-section tyres.
In terms of competition, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 goes toe to toe with the Bajaj Dominar 400, UM Renegade Commando Classic, the Jawa and Jawa 42.
