[UPDATE: Royal Enfield has launched the Hunter 350. Full details in our launch story]
Ahead of its launch this month, specification and variant details of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 have leaked online. The upcoming roadster, as we had reported exclusively earlier, will be launched in three variants:
Retro Variant
The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 ‘Retro’ variant will be the base and the most affordable one of the roadster range. In terms of styling and features, the Retro variant comprises a bulb tail lamp, oval shape indicators and handlebar switchgear similar to the old generation Classic 350 with a simple instrument cluster.
It rolls on 17-inch spoke wheels at both ends with 100/80 front section and 120/80 rear section tyres. For braking, the base variant features a 300mm disc up front and a 153mm drum brake at the rear paired to a single channel ABS. This variant misses out on a centre stand and weighs 177kg kerb, making it the lightest RE bike.
Similar to other RE motorcycles, the Hunter 350 will come painted in a myriad of colour choices. The base variant will be available in two single-tone paint schemes which are: Factory Black and Factory Silver.

Metro Variant
The ‘Metro’ variant of the Hunter 350, on the other hand, gets an LED tail lamp, a round indicator, a handlebar switch and an instrument cluster similar to the Meteor 350’s unit. It is also likely to get the Tripper navigation pod as an optional accessory.
This variant gets 17-inch alloy wheels with 110/70 front section and 140/70 rear section tyres. The braking hardware comprises discs at both ends paired to dual-channel ABS and the bike weighs 181kg kerb. It will be available in single-tone Dapper White, Dapper Ash and Dapper Grey colour schemes.
Metro Rebel Variant
The ‘Metro Rebel’ is similar to the ‘Metro’ variant, but the only difference is that this one comes with three dual-tone paint schemes: Rebel Black, Rebel Blue and Rebel Red.
Powering the roadster is the same engine as the Meteor 350 and Classic 350. Head here to know more about the bike’s specifications.
The bike will debut on August 7 and is expected to be priced at around Rs 1.7 lakh (ex-showroom), which will make it the most affordable RE bike based on the J-Series platform, at least until the 2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 gets introduced. The Hunter will go up against the likes of the TVS Ronin, Honda CB350RS and the Jawa 42 2.1 in our market.
