Hunter 450 Spotted Testing

The Royal Enfield Hunter 450 was spotted testing recently and the images reveal a lot about the upcoming Royal Enfield bike

The Hunter 450 comes with a roadster-like design with a round headlight, telescopic fork with gaiters, and a teardrop-shaped tank. The rear features the same tail light assembly as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, which incorporates the brake light into the turn indicators. The exhaust is the same as on the Himalayan.

Lastly, the bike gets a wide handlebar and slightly rearset footpegs, like its smaller sibling, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, for an upright riding posture.

Royal Enfield Hunter 450 Engine

As the name suggests, the Hunter 450 will be powered by the same 452cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder ‘Sherpa’ engine as on the Himalayan 450. This engine produces 40.02PS and 40Nm.

In terms of underpinnings, the images make it clear that the bike features a telescopic fork and a monoshock. It rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, with road-biased tyres.

The instrument console used could likely be the same one as on the Himalayan which is a round 5-inch colour TFT display with features such as smartphone connectivity and full-fledged Google maps navigation.

Royal Enfield will likely launch the Hunter 450 by the end of 2024, at an expected price of Rs 2.6 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will go up against the likes of the KTM 390 Duke, Triumph Speed 400, Hero Mavrick 440 and Husqvarna Svartpilen 401.
