Royal Enfield Recorded 63% Growth in February 2016

Royal Enfield continues its strong sales performance in February 2016 and was successfully able to sell 49,156 units in both domestic wholesale and exports. The company witnessed a growth of 63% over same period last year.
Earlier on 2nd February 2016, The company introduced Himalayan, a motorcycle destined for adventure and touring in the Himalayas. This all new offering from Royal Enfield brought together 60 years of Himalayan riding experiences in a completely ground-up design. Powered by a new LS 410 engine, the Royal Enfield Himalayan paves the way for a purer, non-extreme and more accessible form of adventure touring in India. Royal Enfield will open booking and test rides of Himalayan from mid-March 2016.
The company recently started its retail operations in Thailand, along with the price announcement of its complete range of motorcycles, apparels and accessories. Located at Thonglor, Bangkok, the company’s first exclusive store in Thailand has been set up by the General Auto Supply Co. Ltd.
Thailand is home to one of the most enthusiastic and seasoned riding communities in the world, with thousands of riding clubs and a prevalent culture of leisure riding. The entry of Royal Enfield into the market gives the riding enthusiasts an option to ride a motorcycle that is known for its leisure riding experiences.
During the month, the company also introduced a Squadron Blue colour for its Classic 500 as a tribute to its long-standing history with the soldiers of the skies. The new Squadron Blue Classic 500 variant is now available for booking across all company stores and dealerships in India.
