Royal Enfield's Tour-of-Tibet - the ride to the mystical 'roof-of-the-world' beigns on 7th September 2014. The amazing RE ride is back with 30 riders covering 2380km over 14 days, while experiencing an average altitude of 4500m. This journey will be extremely adventurous as it will allow the rider to conquer the MT Everest Base Camp situated at an altitude of 5200m, making it one of the most challenging rides planned in this year by the company.
Beginning from Kathmandu, the Tour of Tibet 2014 is an ultimate motorcycling adventure that empowers riders to conquer the mighty Himalayan range and the less explored Everest Base Camp. The love of ‘pure motorcycling’ brings riders together from all over the world and bond over their common passion of riding a Royal Enfield through the mystical terrains of Tibet. With riders riding at an average elevation of 4500 meters, locked away in the mountainous vastness of the Himalayas, the terrains of Tibet challenge the motorcyclists with their numerous hairpin turns and also offer an excellent off-roading experience on certain stretches. The 4 mountain passes in the journey coupled with scenic locales and high altitude riding, make Tibet an ultimate terrain to ride on and is a dream come true for motorcyclists willing to challenge their machines.
Last year at the first Royal Enfield Tour of Tibet, 17 riders conquered the Everest base camp. This enticing ride is the third international ride in Royal Enfield’s calendar after Bhutan and Nepal.
It has been a constant endeavor at Royal Enfield to provide its loyalists with an unadulterated ‘pure motorcycling’ experience, wherein the man, the machine and the terrain come together as one and elevate the riding experience to a whole new level. The Tour of Tibet promises to excite and entice riders with its breathtaking landscape and vibrant culture. The ride offers newer motorcycling adventures and a variety of riding terrains to the participants which makes The Tour of Tibet an experience of a lifetime.
