The Japanese auto major, Yamaha was selling its popular FZ motorcycle in Indonesia as “Byson”. Now, the company has replaced it with the new FZ FI Version 2.0, which is already available in the Indian market. And the new motorcycle has been christened as Byson FI in the Indonesian market. The bike has been priced at 21.65 million IDR (on-road, Jakarta), which is equivalent to about 1.03 Lakh INR (according to the current exchange rates).
The only cosmetic change in the Indonesian Yamaha Byson FI is the new colour scheme with a bit more attractive graphics, compared to the Indian FZ FI. It has been made available in three different colour options- Black Fighter, Silver Bold and Red Combat.
Dimensionally, both the Indian and Indonesian models look similar, however, they have slight differences according to their respective websites. They say that the Byson FI is 10mm wider and 15mm higher than the FZ FI, and it also has a longer wheelbase and larger ground clearance by 10mm.
The Yamaha Bison FI sports the same 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled Bluecore engine with electronic fuel injection system, which is powering the FZ FI. However, output is slightly changed and it makes 12.89bhp of maximum power along with a peak torque of 12.98Nm.
