The company has introduced the SES Tuff B2B and SES Hobby low-speed e-scooters at the expo
Odisha-based Shema Electric has unveiled two new electric scooters: SES Tuff and SES Hobby, at the EV India Expo 2021. While the former is a high-speed B2B offering, the latter is a low-speed scooter meant for the youth.
The SES Tuff is intended for delivery-oriented businesses, and hence, has a claimed range of 150km from its detachable 60V 30Ah battery. It has a payload capacity of 150kg, and Shema says it can attain a top speed of 60kmph. The Tuff gets LED illumination all around along with purposeful elements like a carriage up front, a long footboard, and a massive rear luggage rack.

The SES Tuff’s underpinnings are quite simple, with a telescopic fork and dual shocks taking up suspension duties and drum brakes at both ends for braking.
Shema’s low-speed e-scooter, the SES Hobby, gets a top speed of 25kmph and a claimed range of 100km. It shares its battery pack with the SES Tuff, and it takes four hours for a full charge. The Shema SES Hobby’s modern styling – with its dual-LED headlight setup and DRLs – adds to the appeal. That said, the e-scooter gets humble underpinnings in the form of a telescopic fork, dual shocks, steel wheel, and drum brakes.
Shema has neither confirmed the launch timelines nor the prices. However, the company claims to have 75 dealers across 13 states, and it intends to expand to Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Kerala, Karnataka, and Gujarat in the next six months.
