The Bengaluru-based startup has also revealed details of the electric scooter’s battery pack

• Pre-bookings of the Simple One electric scooter will commence this Independence day.
• The scooter can be pre-booked for a token amount of Rs 1,947 via Simple Energy’s website.
• It will get rectangular battery packs weighing around 6kg.

Bengaluru-based startup Simple Energy will commence pre-bookings of its flagship e-scooter, the One, on August 15, 2021, 5:00PM onwards. All you need to do is get on Simple Energy’s website, put in a fully refundable deposit of Rs 1,947 (very patriotic, we must say) and voila, you’re done! Moreover, customers who pre-book the scooter will get priority when deliveries begin. 

The company has now given us an insight into the One’s battery technology. The Simple One will get a 6kg rectangular battery pack with a handle, hinting that it’ll be an easy-to-swap and easy-to-carry unit.

Simple Energy had previously claimed a range of 240km in Eco mode, a top speed of 100kmph, and 0-50kmph acceleration in 3.6 seconds. We recently got our hands on some exclusive details about the Simple One which you can check out in our story.

The Simple One is expected to retail somewhere around the Rs 1.1 lakh mark. The exact pricing and variants will be revealed during the official launch, which is also slated for August 15, 2021.
