Looks striking, packs modern features, and costs a bomb (by Indian standards)

UK-based motorcycle company Sinnis has launched its 125cc sportbike, the GPX 125, in Europe. There, it costs upward of Rs 2.77 lakh (in INR, excluding taxes). While it might seem quite expensive by Indian standards, it is around 1100 Euros (roughly Rs 1 lakh) cheaper than its arch-rival, the KTM RC 125 in European markets.

So what do you get for the moolah? Well, for starters, a proper radical-looking bike. The Sinnis GPX 125 has a standout design, courtesy of its Yamaha R1-like fairing-mounted headlamps, edgy bodywork, and a sharp tail section with sleek LED strips for taillights. All this lends it a big-bike feel, a job well done.

Sinnis offer the GPX 125 in two colour options: Carbon Black and Ultimate Grey.

Next up, features. The GPX 125 boasts LED lighting, a USD fork, petal discs with a combined braking system, and a coloured LCD instrument cluster. Nothing over the top, but sufficient to keep up with its rivals.

Where the Sinnis GPX 125 falls behind, though, is power. It puts out 12.9PS and 10.67Nm, around 2PS and 1.5Nm less than its rivals.

But the lack of peak power isn’t really a dealbreaker, especially when you consider the money saved.

Overall, the GPX 125 seems a good bike for learners. Sadly, the chances of it coming to our shores are next to zero, thanks to the high duties. This means the only faired 125cc bike available in India is the KTM RC 125.
