"Snapdeal Motors" : Book your bike without visiting Showrooms

Snapdeal has remodeled its automobile section and named it as ‘Snapdeal Motors’. This online automobile portal allows you to book any two-wheeler from your nearest dealership. Currently, the tech giant is dealing with two wheelers of Hero MotoCorp and planning to get in business with Mahindra, Suzuki Motorcycles, Datsun and commercial vehicles of Piaggio.

As claimed by Snapdeal, the company has sold 3,00,000 vehicles from its nine-month online existence.

“With the introduction of the Snapdeal Motors, we are aiming to take this to the next level and provide our customers a holistic buying experience marrying online and offline retail channels. This is going to be a very strong platform that we believe should clock over $2 Bn in sales over the next two years,” said Tony Navin, Senior Vice President, Partnerships and Strategic initiatives. The company has connected with 5000 dealerships for its auto portal.

Consumers can get the best possible options available for loan, as the company has tied up with Superpower. Talking about COD (Cash on Delivery), information received states that company won't be dealing with any COD option and neither the bike will be delivered at your doorstep. Anyone interested, have to put their pin code on the website and the availability of the bike with the nearest dealer will be shown there, which can follow by further steps like applying for a loan and other payment options.

Customers have to pay a booking amount for the bike and the company will notify regarding the availability of the bike at the nearest dealership. The company believes that making customers stay at home and book the bike will bring convenience to the lifestyle.

Snapdeal’s Chief Product Officer Anand Chandrasekaran said that with the launch of the Automobiles category the company hopes to turn a 30-minute problem into a 30-second one. “If you wish to buy a bike, you might find yourself running from dealership to dealership, trying to get the best deals, offers, and then also have to figure out the loan. That takes a considerable amount of time. With Snapdeal automobiles, we are essentially converting this into a 30-second problem as you can just browse the models, dealerships on one platform.” As informed, the company will bring “Test Drive at Home” and “Doorstep Delivery” options in the coming time.
