Popular Indian helmet manufacturer, Studds Accessories Ltd, has launched the Cub D4 Decor half-face helmet in India at Rs 1,175. The helmet is available in three sizes: medium (570mm), large (580mm) and extra large (600mm). The company offers the new helmet in six colours: Pink, Red, Matt Blue, Matt Red, Matt Gun Grey and Matt Neon Yellow. 

It employs a regulated density expanded polystyrene, which is an impact-absorbing material. The outer shell uses a UV-resistant paint for better reliability and the inner liners are hypoallergenic, which, as per Studds, protects the rider from allergies or infections arising from continuous contact with damp helmet liners due to extended riding or on hot/rainy days. The helmet also features a ratchet-type quick release strap, a clear visor, and a removable lower liner (the cheek pads and the upper liners are non-removable, though).

Other than the colour schemes, the Cub D4 Decor is similar to the Cub 07 and Cub D2 Decor, both of which are available at the same price as the newly launched helmet. Overall, while the helmet looks funky and has enough features for its price, we’d recommend you get a full-face ISI-certified helmet for better all-round protection. Studds also deals with full-face helmets, for both off-road and street usage.
