The launch happened today during the Gixxer day celebration at the Ramjas College grounds in Delhi, which was further energised by the performance of 2-time European Freestyle Championship winner- Aras Gibieza.
The front disc brake remains the same 266mm Bybre unit, while the rear disc brake unit has been sourced from Nissin that is costing approximately Rs. 2,000. The company has also introduced a new colour for the Gixxer SF- Pearl Mirage Red, which is a single-tone paint scheme. There are no other mechanical changes on the bike and it retains the same 155cc, air-cooled engine that is based on the SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) technology. Promising an optimum performance and fuel economy, the motor makes 14.6bhp of power and delivers up to 14Nm of torque.
The key features of the Suzuki Gixxer are a fully digital console, flatter type handlebar, 3-split-spoke alloy wheels, sporty twin-port exhaust muffler, 41mm fat front forks and meaty 140/60 section rear tyre. Besides all these features, the Gixxer SF also gets an aerodynamic front fairing adding sport tourer characteristics to it.
Along with the rear disc brake trim of Suzuki Gixxer, the company had also showcased fuel-injected Gixxer SF at the 2016 Auto Expo, which is also expected to hit the roads soon.
