The New Norton Dominator SS First Look

Norton- the iconic British motorcycle manufacturer has released the pictures of its next gen Dominator SS motorcycle. It will be launched next year in the UK as a limited edition motorcycle with only 50 units, while expected to be launched in the other markets later in 2015. Although the comapny hasn't revealed any technical specifications of the bike, some reports says that the 2015 Norton Dominator SS will be priced at £19,950 (around Rs. 19.62 lakh).

The cafe racer styled bike is based on the Domiracer prototype, which is a track-spec motorcycle, revealed in 2013. However, the upcoming Dominator SS is a road-legal machine with an improved design and all the requires features of a street-spec motorcycle. The first design of the Domiracer was created by Simon Skinner, but the final prototype was developed after incorporating the suggestions of workers at the Norton Factory.

Power unit of the 2015 Norton Dominator SS is the same 961cc parallel-twin, which also powers the Commando 961 range of Norton Motorcycles. The mill develops 78.9bhp of maximum power at 6,500rpm along with a peak torque of 90Nm at 5,200rpm.
