The Benda LFS700 Tang Knife has been launched at a lower price point than that of the Benda LFC700 in China
- The Benda LFS700 Tang Knife is a roadster based on the Benda LFC700, but pegged at a lower price point.
- It also looks a lot sportier and futuristic than the already radical-looking LFC700.
- Makes the same power and torque as the High-power variant of the LFC700.
Along with the gorgeous LFC700 cruiser, Chinese bikemaker Benda has also launched a much more futuristic-looking iteration, the Benda LFS700 Tang Knife in the country. Even though it looks a lot sportier than the regular cruiser, it is priced at CNY 38,800 (around 4.47 lakh), which is a whole CNY 7000 (about Rs 80,697) lesser than the base variant of the Benda LFC700 cruiser.
The Benda LFS700 comes with a completely different, much sharper-looking body panels with numerous creases. The design is rounded off at the rear with two panels covering the sleek, vertically slit twin exhausts.
Further sweetening the deal is a 680cc inline-four motor churning out 93.8PS at 11,000rpm and 63Nm at 8500rpm -- same as the High-power variant of the Benda LFC700. While the regular cruiser’s claimed top speed is 195kmph, this one’s slightly faster, at 210kmph. The engine sits inside a perimeter frame made of chrome-molybdenum steel and aluminium, linked to an aluminium swingarm.

It is suspended on an inverted front fork with preload and damping adjustability, and a preload-adjustable offset rear monoshock. The rake angle looks much sharper than the cruiser, cementing its roadster genes. Even the brakes are top-notch as it gets the same twin-disc setup with Brembo calipers, akin to the higher-end variant of the LFC700. The bike is also lighter than the LFC700 by a whole 17kg, tipping the scales at 218kg kerb. But unlike the needlessly fat 310-section rear tyre on the standard cruiser, this one gets a 180-section rear rubber working alongside a 120-section front, both wrapped on 17-inch alloy wheels.
All in all, the Benda LFS700 Tang Knife looks pretty promising on paper as it not only offers better performance over the Benda LFC700 but also looks even more attention-grabbing. It even beats the Honda CB5650R in performance while costing a fraction of its price. What do you think about this new roadster? Let us know in the comments.
