The custom build also features few scrambler elements as well
Baxter Cycle, an American custom bike shop that specializes in modifying Royal Enfield and Triumph motorcycles has made a custom build based on the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650. The modified bike looks like a Harley-Davidson Sportster S but with a few scrambler-like elements added in as well.
The bike features many design changes, the first of which is the addition of a Bates Style headlight, smaller than the stock one from the Super Meteor. Baxter Cycle has also swapped out the handlebar for a BSA Western mini ape handlebar, something which looks fitting for a cruiser.
That said, the footpeg position hasn’t been changed, but the bike comes with Royal Enfield’s Black Deluxe Rider’s footpegs. So overall the cruiser character of the bike in terms of riding posture doesn’t seem to have been changed.
The engine section has been modified and now stock Super Meteor’s twin exhausts have been swapped out for a Zard high rise scrambler/flat track exhaust system that is made for the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650. The exhaust system, although made for scramblers and flat trackers has really gone well into the Super Meteor and is what makes the bike look like the Harley-Davidson Sportster S power cruiser.
Coming to the rear, the bike’s rear fender has been chopped and gets Lecter taillight. In terms of underpinnings, Baxter Cycle has swapped out the stock tyres and for Shinko 804/805 block pattern adventure tyres.
Other than these changes, the bike remains unchanged in terms of performance. The Super Meteor 650 is powered by a 648cc, air/oil-cooled parallel twin engine that produces 47PS and 52.3Nm.
