From smartphone connectivity, touchscreen TFTs to navigation, these EVs are surely gonna spoil you
In this modern day and age, manufacturers have loaded their vehicles with tons of features: big TFTs, smartphone connectivity, and voice commands among others. With these many features on offer, it can become quite difficult to make a choice... so we’ve put together a list of five EVs that we think have best features in the market today:
TVS iQube Electric
In its latest iteration, the TVS iQube Electric gets three variants, the Standard, S and ST. While the first two get a revised user interface (UI) on the 5-inch TFT screen, the ST model gets a larger 7-inch TFT screen that is also a touchscreen unit.
The instrument cluster comes with smartphone connectivity, navigation assistance, geo-fencing, range indication, charge status, ride statistics, and overspeed alert, all of which can be viewed via TVS's dedicated SmartXonnect app. If that's not enough, the e-scooter also features a USB charging socket and a boot light as standard.
Ather 450X
The Ather 450X gets a 7-inch TFT touchscreen through which you can get navigation data and over the air (OTA) updates along with time-based adaptive screen brightness and themes. It also gives you ride statistics and check charge status and helps you find Ather grid points near you. On top of that, the 450X comes with self-cancelling indicators and a side-stand sensor.
The 450X also comes with Bluetooth connectivity. With this, Ather has been able to equip the scooter with a ‘Find My Vehicle’ function, the ability to control phone calls or music via the left switchgear, and even a voice assistant. It also gets WiFi connectivity which acts as a supplement to the Bluetooth system and helps in data transfer. Other features include a 4G connection via an electronic sim card. Thanks to the e-sim, you can change your service provider to the one that works best in your area, without the need to install a physical sim.

You can create multiple profiles for different riders, use voice commands, and get call and message alerts. You get other alerts such as a side stand, tampering and geofencing alerts. The Ola S1 Pro also gets a keyless ignition system that uses your smartphone as a proximity key.
Meanwhile, a new software update, MoveOS 2.0, has been released only to a select group of owners, with a full-scale rollout of the final version expected in the next few weeks. This update will further equip the S1 Pro with goodies such as navigation, companion app, cruise control, bluetooth and performance enhancements among others.
Tork Kratos
Bikers will be glad to finally see a motorcycle in this list. On the Tork Kratos, you get a fully digital instrument cluster with features such as a multi drive mode, regenerative braking, reverse mode, smartphone connectivity, in-app navigation, USB charging and anti-theft system along with geo-fencing.
