Triumph Introduces 2015 Tiger 800 and Thunderbird Nightstorm at EICMA

The iconic British bike maker- Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the 2015 Tiger 800 in 4 variants and Thunderbird Nightstorm special edition. The 2015 Triumph Tiger has got some major updates along with two new variants- XRx and XCx apart from the standard XR and XC. All the 4 models retain the same chassis along with the 799cc, liquid-cooled, 12-V, inline-triple engine, developing 95hp at 9,250rpm along with 79Nm torque at 7,850rpm. However, the company claims 17% increased fuel economy than the current version.
Now, all the 4 models of the Tiger 800 comes with ABS, Traction Control and ride-by trottle as standard equipments, while the more premium versions with the lowercase "x" also gets three riding modes to control these equipments along with cruise control (the first in its segment) and three riding modes which enable the rider to control throttle response, traction control and switchable ABS.
The XR and XRx variants come with 43mm inverted front and rear preload adjustable mono-shock by Show, while the XC and XCx models get a WP suspension set-up for superior off-roading capabilities.
The Triumph Tiger 800 x models also features 4 engine maps- Rain, Road, Sport and Off-Road for better response in different ride conditions. The XR and XRx models come with 19" front and 17" rear light weight alloys, while the XC and XCx models feature more durable 21" front and 17" rear spoke wheels. The company hasn't revealed the prices of the new models yet and they will be available by Spring 2015.
The Triumph Thunderbird Nightstorm special edition gets a "Dark" theme with Black detailing and metallic Black paint on panels along with a custom flame painting on the fuel tank with a color combination between Phantom Black and Silver Frost polish. The special version also gets an exclusive saddle with new side covering and the Triumph logo. Price of the edition is yet to be revealed and the company said that it will be available by February 2015 at the dealerships.
