The stunning Yamaha YZF-R3 is a sports machine introduced by Japanese manufacturer this year. The bike is mounted with a powerful and refined 321cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, fuel injected engine that churns out 42bhp of maximum power at 10,750rpm and a maximum torque of 26.9Nm at 9,000rpm. With such great figures, the company was pretty sure that they had developed a very powerful motor and it is capable of overcoming any situation.

But these power figures were not sufficient for the guy from Europe named Nicola Bragagnolo, as he wanted some more juice from this machine. So, he got an idea to plant a ‘TURBOCHARGER’ at its air intake to increase power output comparable to the level of a Moto 3 machine. The turbocharger used is the IHI RHB31, which is likely to be the world’s smallest turbo and mainly used for 125cc to 600cc motors. Bragagnolo claims that the bike generates an additional 18bhp, after introducing turbo to it.
According to a report in Motociclismo.it, the maximum power of Yamaha R3 is limited to 60 bhp at 10,000 rpm. Also, the total cost of this addition process is around 9,900 Euros.
Most surprisingly, he has been using the bike for daily usage in its native place which means it is road legal too. Such crazy motorcycle aficionados will take technology to the higher levels.
