After unveiling the first 300cc model, G310R, under the joint operation, TVS and BMW are now working on machines powered by a 500-600cc twin-cylinder engine. According to a report by Bloomberg TV, both the manufacturers are going to enter the mid-weight performance segment with the co-developed models in the pipeline, which will be priced around Rs. 5-6 lac.
Like the BMW G310R, these upcoming models will also get the German branding of BMW, because of their International market value and the products will be launched in multiple countries including India. Both the manufacturers are heading to the entry-level and mid-size performance segments because of the high demand for these vehicles in many developing countries across the world
The new BMW G310R is a streetfighter motorcycle with aggressive appearance and a 313cc, single cylinder liquid-cooled engine, delivering 34bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 28Nm. The bike has premium features like lightweight alloys with fat tyres, dual disc brakes with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), inverted front telescopic forks, rear adjustable mono-shock suspension and much more. It is expected to arrive in India sometime in 2016 and compete with the offerings like KTM 390 Duke.
