TVS Motor Company records 7 percent two wheeler sales growth in May 2015

The Cennai based two-wheeler manufacturer, TVS Motor Company, has recorded a 7 percent growth in the total two wheeler sales for the month of May 2015. With total sales increasing from 1,97,451 units recorded in the month of May 2014 to 2,10,843 units in the month of May 2015.

The company's Domestic two wheeler sales increased by 3 percent from 1,69,671 units in May 2014 to 1,75,533 units in May 2015. Two wheeler exports grew by 27 percent with sales increasing from 27,780 units in May 2014 to 35,310 units in May 2015.

TVS Scooters sales grew by 7 percent increasing from 51,010 units in May 2014 to 54,426 units in May 2015. Motorcycles sales grew by 8 percent increasing from 84,660 units in the month of May 2014 to 91,344 units in May 2015.

Three wheeler sales of the company registered sales of 9,236 units in the month of May 2015 against 9,362 units in May 2014. Including these figures, overall sales of the company grew by 6 percent increasing from 2,06,813 units recorded in May 2014 to 2,20,079 units in May 2015. Overall exports grew by 22 percent with sales increasing from 35,649 units in the month of May 2014 to 43,595 units in May 2015.
