Gets more power, riding modes and better features
TVS has updated the NTorq 125 Race XP for the Indonesian market at the 2022 Jakarta Fair. Here’s what TVS’ sporty scooter now gets:
More Features
The NTorq 125 Race XP now comes with connectivity through TVS’ SmartXonnect application. It gives the rider access to as many as 60 features like navigation, ride statistics, call & SMS alerts among others; something that the Indian-spec NTorq 125 Race XP already gets.
The NTorq now also gets voice assist technology through which you can interact with the scooter via voice commands. You can use the voice commands on the go as well, as long as your speed is under 5kmph.
There are now two riding modes on offer- Race and Street. The Street mode will prioritize economical riding with a top speed of 80kmph. The Race mode as the name suggests, is focused towards performance and gives the scooter a top speed of 98kmph. You can toggle between the modes using the switch on the right side of the handlebar.
More Power
The 124.8cc engine of the NTorq 125 Race XP makes the same power as before in Street mode; 9.43PS and 10.5Nm. But TVS has given it more power in the Racing mode, in which the scooter makes 10.2PS and 10.8Nm.
Aesthetic Changes
The scooter’s sporty looks are now complemented by LED headlights that form the letter 'T'. The initials of the TVS brand also appear on the taillights.
Apart from the aforementioned updates, the scooter is the same underneath, with the same features as the Indian-spec one. The NTorq 125 Race XP is priced at Rp 21 Million (approximately Rs 1.10 lakh), but customers can get it for up to Rp 19.9 Million (approximately Rs 1.05 lakh) during the 2022 Jakarta Fair which goes on till 17th July 2022. As a comparison, the other sporty 125cc scooter, the Honda Vario 125 is priced between Rp 22.09 Million (Rs 1.15 lakh) and Rp 22.92 Million (Rs 1.20 lakh), making the NTorq quite a good deal, especially for the features it has on offer.
