TVS to launch an adventure bike soon, spy pics inside

According to its product line expansion strategy to launch a new product in every quarter, TVS recently launched the all new Scooty Zest after the 2014 Wego. Now the company is developing an adventure bike, which might be introduced soon. The bike has been spotted testing and it seems to be based on the 125cc premium commuter- Phoenix.

The Adventure bike will share most of the mechanicals that of the TVS Phoenix. However, it will get some off-roading features like large front and regular rear spoke wheels with off-road tyres and a roto-petal disc brake at the front. The bike is looking completely new from the rear and the front also gets a high mounted fender.

Propelling the TVS adventure bike will be the same 124.5cc Ecothrust engine, which also powers the Phoenix. The engine churns out a maximum power of 10.9bhp at 8,000rpm along with a peak torque of 10.8Nm at 6,000rpm. Suspension system of the bike is also similar and it will come with a couple of telescopic forks at the front and 5-step adjustable hydraulic shocks with series spring at the rear.

The new TVS adventure bike is an attempt to convert a commuter bike to look like an off-roading machine like the Hero MotoCorp Does with the recently launched Passion Pro TR. But we wish to have another affordable adventure bike in India like the Hero Impulse is.
