Quick News Highlights
- The upcoming Hero XPulse 210 & 400 have been spied testing in Khardung La top.
- XPulse 210 may be launched sometime in early 2025, with a price of around Rs 1.9 lakh (ex-showroom).
- XPulse 400 will likely come around mid-2025 with an expected ex-showroom price of around Rs 2.4 lakh.
The upcoming Hero XPulse 210 and XPulse 400 have been spied testing at the Khardung La top in Ladakh. Hero MotoCorp is testing both the ADVs in the challenging terrains of Ladakh. The manufacturer wants its upcoming ADVs to excel in touring as well as off-road. The new spy shots reveal a lot of useful info about both bikes.
Upcoming Hero XPulse 210
The upcoming Hero XPulse 210 can be seen in the second half of the video, where it can be seen parked on the roadside. In terms of design, the ADV looks similar to the one that was spotted earlier. It features a bigger tank and a taller overall stance. The test bike has a beak-like front fender and a tall visor as well. It also has a highly upswept exhaust.
The upcoming XPulse 210 will likely have the 210cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine from the Karizma XMR, which makes 25.5PS and 20.4Nm, paired with a 6-speed transmission. However, we expect the engine to be geared differently to suit the XPulse 210’s ADV characteristics. The ADV may get the same LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity as the existing Hero XPulse 200 4V and seems to have a simple switchgear.
We expect the Hero XPulse 210 to launch in India sometime in early 2025. It might be priced at around Rs 1.9 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. It will go up against the likes of Suzuki V-Strom SX and the KTM 250 Adventure.
Upcoming Hero XPulse 400
The upcoming Hero XPulse 400 is obviously a bigger bike and was seen with panniers and a tail bag. Additionally, the tail section on this bike looks fatter than the XPulse 210 along with a wider rear tyre.
The XPulse 400 may be powered by the same 440cc, air-/oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the Hero Mavrick 440 that makes 27PS and 36Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. The spied bike has a huge rear sprocket, which is likely to provide an even peppier and more powerful low-end performance. The XPulse 400 test bike also has a similar wire sticking out from the accelerator, just like the Mavrick 440.
The ADV is likely to have a more feature-loaded LCD console with smartphone connectivity and other connected features. It also seems to have more buttons on the switch gear as compared to the XPulse 210.
We don’t have the proper details of the underpinnings, but both XPulse 210 and XPulse 400 are expected to get long travel forks and monoshocks. They seem to be equipped with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels, with tube tyres. However, the XPulse 400 looks to have a chunkier tyre. Both these bikes may also get optional rally kits, which will make them more capable off-road.
The Hero XPulse 400 is expected to be launched in India in mid-2025 and is likely to be priced somewhere around the Rs 2.4 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. It will rival the other 350-450cc ADVs including the Yezdi Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the upcoming KTM Adventure 390.
