- The prototype bike could either be the Ola Roadster or Cruiser.
Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola, has shared an image on his X handle, teasing the battery pack and motor of the brand’s upcoming electric bike. Aggarwal uploaded the image with the caption “Working on something”. This indicates that Ola is working on its upcoming electric bike and the brand’s in-house developed lithium-ion battery pack.
The image revealed a lot of details of the bike, including Ola’s in-house developed lithium-ion battery pack which is positioned at the front of the bike where the fuel tank would typically be. The electric motor looks very compact and is placed under the battery pack. Additionally, the image also reveals the front sprocket which means the bike is going to be chain-driven.

The Ola Electric bike is built on a diamond-type split cradle frame. It has front-set footpegs which should provide a comfortable riding posture. The front part of the bike’s seat can also be seen in the picture.
As this is just a prototype, it is difficult to determine which Ola Electric bike this is, but the frame, seat, and footpeg positions make it look similar to either the Ola Electric Roadster or the Ola Electric Cruiser.
When will the Ola Electric Bike Launch?
Previously, in a press briefing, Bhavish Aggarwal, said that the EV maker will launch a few variants of its upcoming electric bikes by early 2025. The bike’s launch timeline aligns with the information in the manufacturer’s IPO (Initial Public Offering) document, which suggests that the bike deliveries will begin in the first half of fiscal year 2026. This means the first bike could be launched sometime in early or mid-2025.
We believe Ola Electric's first bike launch will be an affordable model with performance comparable to a 125cc petrol-powered commuter bike and should be priced somewhere between Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. It is likely to be the simpler-looking Roadster bike, as seen in recent design patents of three Ola bikes.
