Indian two-wheeler market is gradually upgrading and buyers of the 200-500cc segment are increasing rapidly. So, most of the manufacturers are trying or going to try their hands in the respective category with new and advanced machines like the recently launched Yamaha YZF-R3. And few of them are just waiting for the right time (festive season) to send their new players in the ground. So, let’s checkout the machines we can expect to be launched during this festive season.
Mahindra Mojo 300: The name, Mahindra Mojo 300, emerged around 5 years ago, when the company showcased the first prototype of the bike at the 2010 Indian Auto Expo. Finally, we meet the final production model after 4 years in the 2014 Auto Expo, which was looking quite promising. Now it has been more than a year after the unveiling of the production model and still the bike is missing from the market. However, the wait is over now and Mahindra is finally going to launch Mojo 300 near this festive season with an expected price tag of below Rs. 2 lacs.
Mahindra Mojo 300 is a roadster styled motorcycle with a unique appearance. Powering the bike is a 300cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which will produce around 27bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 25Nm. The bike has many premium features like USD front forks, linked-type rear mono-shock, dual petal-disc brakes and Pirelli tyres.
Hero MotoCorp HX250R: At the 2014 Auto Expo, Hero MotoCorp proved that it is not just a commuter manufacturer, it can also make a serious machine with unveiling of the HX250R. Inspired by the EBR (Erik Buell Racing) superbikes, the supersport styled motorcycle was looking quite promising with its litre-class like appearance.
Powered by a 250cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor, the HX250R delivers a maximum power of 31bhp and a top torque of 26Nm. Along with the best in class performance figures, the bike will also get a very competitive price tag of around Rs. 1.6 lac. It is also expected to be launched during this festive season and it will give a tough competition to Honda CBR 250R and KTM RC 200.
Hyosung GD 250R: Another amazing motorcycle committed to the track racing- Hyosung GD 250R was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo, which is expected to be launched by the end of September 2015. The fully faired motorcycle has proper supersport machine like ergonomics with an aerodynamically tested design. The bike is highly nimble and quick on turns with a short wheelbase and steep rake.
The Hyosung GD 250R is powered by a 250cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which has been tuned to make 27.6bhp of top power and a maximum torque of 26Nm.
