The brand has revised prices of the existing variant to make it more competitive
- It is the most affordable bike in the market with an electric start.
- The Platina 100 ES even undercuts the Hero HF Deluxe ES by almost Rs 6,000.
- It gets new rear view mirrors which claim to offer better visibility.
- The bike continues to run on a 102cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine.
Bajaj has launched the updated Bajaj Platina 100 ES at Rs 53,920, making it the most economical bike in the market to feature an electric starter. It was previously priced at Rs 59,859 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi). Thanks to the competitive pricing, it now undercuts the Hero HF Deluxe ES by Rs 5,980. Additional updates include new rear view mirrors claimed to offer better visibility and the rear spring in spring suspension setup replacing the earlier nitrox shock absorbers. These aside, there has been no other change to the bike.
The Bajaj Platina 100 ES is powered by the same 102cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that makes 7.9PS at 7500rpm and 8.3Nm at 5500rpm. The motor continues to use a 4-speed transmission. The 11-litre fuel tank should be more than sufficient, especially with the bike’s frugal engine.

There’s no change in hardware either. The Platina 100 uses the same single-cradle frame with a telescopic fork up front. The rear suspension, though, has changed, as already mentioned. Braking duties are handled by a 130mm and a 110mm-drum at the front and back.
The updated Platina 100 ES rivals the Hero Splendor Plus and the Hero HF Deluxe.
