The Vespa 946 Emporio Armani will be the most expensive scooter to go on sale in India
Fashionistas, mark your calendars, as the exclusive Vespa 946 Emporio Armani will be launched in the Indian market on November 15th. The scooter will be brought to our shores by its parent company Piaggio. The 946 Emporio Armani is among the most élite scooters from the Italian two-wheeler giant. The 946 Emporio Armani was launched in 2015 to mark the 40th anniversary of the Giorgio Armani fashion house and the 130th anniversary of the Piaggio Group. Given the Armani tag associated with the scooter, it wouldn’t be affordable by any means of the imagination. We assume it to carry a sticker price of around Rs 10 lakh ex-showroom, which will easily make it the most expensive scooter to be put on sale in India. It will be sold only through select Motoplex showrooms in India.
The Vespa 946 Emporio Armani gets draped in a distinctive shade of grey-green, in which the green accents are visible only under certain light conditions. The other metal parts on the scooter feature a galvanizing satin treatment to make a style statement. Being a special edition scooter, it gets ‘Emporio Armani’ badging on the side covers and the iconic vulture on the headlight casing. The seat trim and hand grips, along with the optional leather bag, are crafted from leather and are colour-coordinated. The Vespa 946 Emporio Armani’s production has been limited to maintain exclusivity and it will be offered in only select countries worldwide. The Vespa 946 is also among the most beautiful looking scooters ever created, with its retro-futuristic styling.
The standout design feature for the Vespa 946 is its floating saddle which is hinged on a cast aluminium support, while the full LED headlamp makes it look distinctive. Powering the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani is a 125cc mill which produces 11.9PS and 10.3Nm of torque. Piaggio has loaded the 946 Emporio Armani with electronic goodies like ABS and ASR (anti-slip regulator) traction control system.
