Vibgyor new plant by first quarter of FY 2012

Vibgyor Vehicle, West Bangal based two wheeler maker, after launching three new bikes in India namely Vibgyor Hunter, Vibgyor Shark and Vibgyor Gallop is all set to set up its second manufacturing plant at Dankuni. Vibgyor Vehicle is a India based company that produces bikes using domestic components. It's one manufacturing plant is already there at Dhulagori in West Bengal. Now the company wants to spread its wings across Indian two wheeler market.

One of the company officials stated that Vibgyor is going to invest around 660 crore within next three years. This new facility will be started in the first quarter of year 2012.

The company wants to touch sales figure of 1.5 lakh unites by the next financial year. It sold out almost 22,300 two wheelers in the market and might cross 35,000 units by March, 2011. The bike maker targets to export around 30,000 units to countries like Bangladesh, Africa and Nepal; at present, it is exporting 3000 to 3500 units to different nations. The company is planning to enter in African market very soon.

Vibgyor has launched three bikes and is planning to enter in semi-sports bike segment with launch of Vibgyor Persona. This bike might come in two variants, one will be loaded with 110cc engine and second will come with 200cc engine.

Vibgyor Vehicle is getting good response and has sold out 10,550 units in last FY. It is expected that company is to unveil new variant of these recently launched bikes by the next year, in the segment of 100cc, 150cc and 200cc engine. The company is also planning to enter in scooter market.

At present, Vibgyor Vehicle has 110 dealers across Indian and it will expend to 150 by the end of this year. It also planning to make it just double by the end of next financial year to grab maximum Indian two wheeler market.
