The renowned American motorcycle brand- Victory Motorcycles has launched the 2017 Victory Octane that recently entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest burnout. Achieved by the Victory Stunt Team rider- Joe Dryden at Orlando Speed World in the US, the new record is for 2.23 miles (3.59km), accounting for a whopping 0.23 miles (0.37km) more than the previous record. And the best part is that the Victory Octane is not a sport bike, but a cruiser motorcycle that has been used for this record. The tyre of the motorcycle was totally worn out at the end and it was a clear limit of that attempt.
The record was confirmed by a Guinness adjudicator who witnessed the successful burnout attempt, which took over seven laps on the compact racetrack. Besides Dryden, his Victory Stunt Team partner- Tony Carbajal also attempted the record on Victory Octane. However, he failed to match Joe’ skill on the motorcycle.
The new Victory Octane is one of the most powerful American cruiser with a 1,179cc, liquid-cooled V-twin that is tuned to make 105PS of power and deliver 98Nm of torque. Despite the performance figures of the motor, the bike also weighs just 240 kg dry that also adds to its aggressive behaviour.
