Just in case you missed out, here’s a list of top five two-wheeler news from the last week
This week has turned out to be an absolute cracker with a couple of new launches from manufacturers targeting different segments. From the much-awaited MT-15 to the fully faired TVS Apache RR 310, here are the top five news stories from the last week.
Yamaha:
The Japanese bikemaker has finally launched the hotly-anticipated MT-15 in India for a price of Rs 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). A rather expensive proposition at that. In terms of features, the MT-15 gets a projector headlamp flanked by LED DRLs, a full-digital instrument console, rim tapes and a design language inspired from its elder sibling, the MT-09. It’s powered by the same 155cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder motor as the R15 V3.0 that makes 19.3PS and 14.7Nm of torque. For more information, click here.
Jawa:
This is for all those Jawa fanatics. The brand has announced that it will commence deliveries for the first batch of Jawa and Jawa Forty-Two’s by the end of March. Unfortunately, though, this means the launch of its factory custom bobber, the Perak, has been postponed to the end of this year. In terms of reach, the brand has launched a total of nine new showrooms which brings them closer to their ultimate goal of having 105 dealerships across India.
Royal Enfield:
The Chennai based manufacturer has released a teaser video of the Royal Enfield Trials which is the company’s take on a scrambler. The short clip gives us a glimpse of the bike which features a red frame, a luggage rack and an upswept exhaust amongst other changes. We could expect the engine to be carried over from the 350cc and 500cc Royal Enfield Classic. For more details and expected pricing, head here.
Hero MotoCorp:
The highly-anticipated Hero Xpulse 200 has been spied in its production-ready avatar during an ad shoot. The bike was being put through its paces by none other than the company’s very own Dakar rider CS Santosh at the Big Rock Motopark facility outside of Bengaluru. The fact that Hero is working towards an ad video for the adventure tourer, suggests that it could be launched pretty soon. For the complete story and expected pricing details, clickhere.
TVS:
The Hosur based two-wheeler manufacturer has silently rolled out updates for the Apache RR 310. These updates are aimed at reducing vibes on the bike by added new bar end weights, a new ECU flash which allows for the motor to rev smoothly through the rev range and much more. Customers can update their RR310 for free via any TVS dealership across the country. The upgrade process may take up to three hours. For more details, click here.
