The ‘Heros’ at the 2025 Auto Expo will be quite exciting

Hero is set to make waves at the 2025 expo with a range of new models across various segments, from adventure bikes to electric scooters, with something for everyone. Here is a look at the models in Hero's 2025 lineup:

Hero XPulse 421 Concept

The XPulse 421, when it launches, will be Hero’s move into the larger adventure touring segment. Building on the success of the XPulse 200, this new 421cc model promises to offer more power and enhanced off-road capability. While the Xpulse 421 will be showcased at the Expo, it will only be in concept form.

Hero Karizma 250

The Karizma 250 borrows most of its design from the Karizma XMR 210. Similarities with the 210 include the headlight, DRLs, fuel tank, exhaust, tail section, and the instrument console. It will be powered by a 250cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 30PS and 25Nm. We think it will only be showcased at the Expo, the launch will most likely happen later.

Hero Xtreme 250

The Xtreme 250 will be the naked, streetfighter version of the Karzima 250. It will share its underpinnings with the Karizma, but will lose the fairing. Almost all the specifications are expected to remain the same as the Karizma, but there might be changes in the rear sprocket to make it easier to use in the city. The Xtreme might be launched at the Expo, we expect prices to be around the Rs 2.25 lakh mark.

Hero XPulse 210

The Hero XPulse 210 will get its engine from the Karizma XMR 210 - a 210cc liquid-cooled single cylinder motor making 24.8PS and 20.4Nm, most likely put into a frame derived from the XPulse 200 4V. It will be aimed at riders who did not buy the XPulse 200 4V because its 200cc engine felt a bit underpowered when touring long distances on the highway. The Xpulse 210 might also be launched at the Expo and we expect it to be priced at Rs 1.90 lakh.

Hero Xoom 160R

The Xoom 160R will be Hero's entry in the 160cc scooter market. The Xoom 160R is aimed at riders who want a sporty scooter or upgrade from a 125cc. It has been designed to look like a proper Maxi scooter, and is expected to deliver solid performance for daily commuting and maybe even a bit of highway riding. It will offer a more premium feel compared to other scooters and will compete directly against the Yamaha Aerox 155.

Hero Xoom 125R

The Xoom 125R will mostly only be showcased, not launched. It might be launched sometime later in 2025, to compete with other sporty 125cc scooters in the market. Like others in the same segment, it will balance performance and fuel efficiency, making it an enjoyable option for daily commuting. Additionally, Hero has also not launched the 2025 Destini 125 yet. The brand seems to be taking time in properly developing their new 125cc scooter platform.

Hero Vida Z

The Vida Z was originally unveiled at EICMA back in 2024, and we think it will be showcased again at the Expo as well. It is just the more conventional looking, family oriented version of the Vida V2, and shares its platform with it. It gets a big seat, spacious floorboard, and a pillion backrest. The scooter also gets the same removable battery tech just like the V2, and it can support battery capacities ranging from 2.2 kWh to 4.4 kWh.
