Catch all the action from this week’s world of two-wheelers right here!
The 2019 EICMA dominated the headlines this week, but there were a couple of interesting developments in the Indian market too. India witnessed the launch of the third BS6-compliant two-wheeler, the Hero Splendor iSmart. From KTM 390 Adventure to the newly launched iSmart, here are the top five news of the week:
KTM 390 Adventure unveiled:
KTM finally unveiled one of its highly anticipated motorcycles, the 390 Adventure, at the 2019 EICMA. The Austrian brand has equipped the bike with a ton of segment-first features to make the bike capable of conquering all sorts of trails. But sadly, it lacks one feature, which a lot of us ADV enthusiasts wanted.
Jawa Perak launch date revealed:
Jawa sent out a teaser for its first anniversary celebration and it clearly shows the silhouette of the Perak, thus confirming its launch. But unlike Jawa’s waiting periods, you don’t have to wait that long for the launch of this Bobber. That said, we certainly hope Jawa will have a ‘normal’ waiting period for the upcoming bike!
BS6 Hero Splendor iSmart 110 launched:
Hero has launched its first BS6 offering, the Splendor iSmart 110 FI I3S. It is also Hero’s first motorcycle to feature fuel injection as well as idle Stop Start (i3S) technology. This new Splendor doesn’t just pack a cleaner engine as the folks from Hero have tinkered with the frame and suspension too.
2020 Kawasaki Z650 unveiled:
Kawasaki updated its 2020 lineup and this included the venerable Z650 too. The motorcycle finally gets properly geek-friendly in its 2020 iteration, and Kawasaki has also made some changes to ensure superior handling.
Benelli Leoncino 800 unveiled:
We got exclusive images of the Benelli Leoncino 800 ahead of its official unveiling at the 2019 EICMA. The motorcycle shares its powertrain with the Benelli 752S but has been tweaked differently. It also features premium underpinnings along with the trademark retro-modern design language. More importantly, it is likely to enter our shores next year.
