Jorge Lorenzo Visits India for Promoting Motorsports, Rides YZF-R3 at Buddh International Circuit
Three time MotoGP World Champion - Jorge Lorenzo recently visited India for the second time as a part of Yamaha’s continuous efforts to promote motorsports in the country. Lorenzo, who recently grabbed the 2015 MotoGP title received an overwhelming response from the Indian biking and motorsports fraternity. Honda CB Hornet 160R to be Launched on 10th December 2015
Completing the promise to launch 15 new/updated products this year, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Ltd. (HMSI) is going to launch the last product for the year- CB Hornet 160R on the 10th of December 2015. The bike was unveiled in August 2015 at the Honda Revfest, which is based on the successful Honda CB Unicorn 160. Along with the platform, it also shares the refined 160cc engine with its sibling. India-Bound 2016 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Coming Soon
The recently unveiled 2016 model of Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R will soon be marking its footprints to the Indian shores, a report suggests. The bike will be launched soon after the arrival of Kawasaki’s middleweight sports tourer - Versys 650, which is scheduled to be launched in India next month. The upgraded ZX-10R has been developed in coordination with Kawasaki’s Racing Team to step up the game in the litre-class segment. The machine will reach the dealerships via CBU (Completely Built Unit) and will be marketed exclusively through Kawasaki dealerships. Read More
Royal Enfield Production Halted at Chennai Due to Floods
As confirmed by Royal Enfield, its production at the Chennai plant has been disrupted due to the ongoing floods and its offices in the city are also closed. The company also lost production of 4,000 motorcycles last month due to heavy rains in the region. Other than RE, automobile companies like Hyundai, Ford, Renault and Apollo Tyres have also put a halt to their production work. Due to these rains, the Indian automotive market will face a heavy loss of around Rs. 1200 to 1500 crores this week as 25% of total Indian production comes from Chennai and surrounding areas. Bike Rally Organised in Support of World AIDS Day
On December 1, which is recognised globally as World AIDS Day, a Jaipur-based NGO took an initiative to organise a bike rally in order to spread awareness. This rally was flagged off from Jawahar Circle and went on to Albert Hall via JLN Marg. The rally returned to Jawahar Circle completing their awareness campaign. More than 300 bikers took part in this rally representing different biker groups among which was the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.). Other than Harleys, the rally by Rays - Asha Ki Ek Kiran featured other powerful motorcycles from manufacturers like Triumph, KTM and Royal Enfield. The convoy was led by Indian Army officers, Captain Nipun and Captain Pranay. Read More
Upcoming 2016 KTM RC 390 Spied in India
The updated version of KTM RC 390, which was showcased at EICMA last month was recently spied in India. It was spied in its production plant (Bajaj Auto plant) situated at Chakan, near Pune. RC 390 was first launched in India a few months ago and is expected to receive some upgrades in the 2016 facelift version. 2016 KTM RC390 features a larger 320mm front disc brake, new side-mounted aluminum exhaust (replaced by underbelly exhaust), slipper clutch, switchable ABS and ride by wire technology (replaced by customary cable mechanism). Suzuki is planning to launch Gixxer 250 in March 2016
Suzuki, the renowned Japanese auto manufacturer is planning to launch the much-awaited Gixxer 250 in March 2016. The new quarter-liter motorcycle will initially debut as a supersport machine and it will match its likes with KTM RC200, Bajaj Pulsar RS200 and the Honda CBR250R. The bike will be officially revealed at the Auto Expo 2016, held at New Delhi. Read More

Despite of its recent hike in the introductory price, the Mahindra Mojo seems to be getting appreciation by the Indian bike aficionados. A new company set in Hyderabad is all a go to break in to the Indian market with its locally made motorcycles. Yes you read right. Eider motors is an Indian based company that claims to use Japanese technology in its motorcycles. CEAT Stores to Retail Pirelli Tyres in India
The Italian tyre manufacturer- Pirelli has partnered with the Indian brand CEAT to retail its products in India. Pirelli manufactures premium tyres for high-end motorcycles as well as cars, which will be sold at the CEAT stores across India. It is not confirmed that there will be a separate section for the premium tyres at the store or they will be displayed and sold along with the CEAT products. Read More
