The Jialing SVR 180 takes quite a bit of inspiration from Kawasaki products
With the exception of a few, Chinese motorcycle manufacturers aren’t known for originality. However, their attempts are sometimes laudable, just like with the Jialing SRV 180 – a Chinese underbone that resembles what could have been Kawasaki’s answer to the Yamaha Aerox 155.
The Jialing SRV 180’s design has some elements that seem to be heavily inspired by Kawasaki’s products. While its headlight appears to be a scaled-down version of the Kawasaki Z1000, the fairing, with the integrated indicators, looks like the one on the Ninja 300. Lastly, the taillight on the SRV is straight off the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R.

While the design isn’t original, the specifications of the Jialing SRV 180 are impressive. It uses a 175cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine producing 18.08PS and 15.5Nm. For perspective, the Yamaha Aerox 155 makes 15PS and 13.9Nm.
The hardware on the Jialing SVR 180 is pretty decent too. It runs on a telescopic fork and monoshock setup with braking duties assigned to disc brakes at both ends. Just like a motorcycle, the Jialing SRV 180 gets 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends.
The Jialing SRV 180 is likely to be limited to the Chinese market and will definitely not be coming to India. So, if you are looking for a performance-oriented scooter, the Yamaha Aerox 155 is still the one to go for. However, if budget is not an issue, there’s also the Keeway Vieste 300.
