Will Moto Guzzi MGX-21 come to India?

For people speculating whether one more esteemed cruiser motorcycle from Italian automaker ‘Moto Guzzi’ will come to India, the answer could be a Yes! The MGX-21, a concept cruiser bike from Italian manufacturer is expected to be going into production by the year-end. The good news for the Indian bike enthusiasts is that this concept has been patented in India strongly indicating that it may be launched here soon.

The Abbreviation MGX-21 stands for ‘Moto Guzzi eXperimental’ and 21 refers to the diameter of the front wheel which is 21-inch. Initially, the concept bike was unveiled last year at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. The finely crafted muscular design of the motorcycle flaunts a retro cool look. The front styling of the bike features a large and beefy cowl while ingeniously built Vespa inspired fenders are at the back. The body of this bike is expected to be clad in carbon fibre and matte black paint with red highlights. The styling of this new bike takes some hints from the Victory and Harley-Davidson models.

The Moto Guzzi MGX-21 Concept is expected to be equipped with the same 1,380cc, 90° V-twin engine, which propels the California 1400 models, that generates a peak power of 96 hp at 6500 rpm and maximum torque of 120 Nm at 2750 rpm. Engine power is transferred to the rear wheels through 6-speed gearbox.

Though the company has filed the patent of its concept cruiser in India, but there is still no confirmation regarding the launch.
