Yamaha 200cc And 250cc Bikes Now Become Official

Since a long time, these rumors are in the air that Yamaha India to launch 200 cc to 250cc bikes in India. But now this news has been confirmed by Hiroyuki Suzuki, the new managing director and chief executive of India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. With the announcement of this bike, now Yamaha India, is fully ready to answer to Honda CBR 250R and Kawasaki Ninja 250R which are most-popular light sports bikes in India and awesome response from buyers.
Yamaha India is the first company which launched India's first entry-level sports bike-Yamaha R15. And now includes lots of Sports oriented bikes like Yamaha Fazer, Yamaha SZ, Yamaha FZs etc. With the very powerful and reliable two-wheelers, the company is ranked fourth in Indian two-wheeler market. Along with this new 250cc bike, the company is planning to launch a 150cc scooter in India which might be major competitor of Honda Activa and Suzuki Access.
Yamaha India is mulling over to increase its production capacity with aim of one million two wheelers by the year of 2013. The company targeted to sell 800,000 units in domestic market and 200,000 units in overseas market. It seeks to spread its wings in African and South American market. The company is to push its Yamaha Crux and Yamaha FZ in Africa while Yamaha YBR will be sold in South America. Along with these popular bike models, Yamaha India is to launch three types of motorcycles—mopeds, scooters and street models of motorcycle in African market.
The company will bring some new changes and redesigned variants of its popular commuter bikes to compete with Hero Honda Splendor, Passion and Honda CB Twister.
