Yamaha domestic sales up by 35 per cent in September

Reiterating the brand’s positive & upbeat sentiments and performance in deluxe & premium bike segments, India Yamaha Motor has registered domestic sales of 32,637 units in September 2011 vs. 24,133 units in the same month last year; a growth of 35.2%. The export sales grew 10.3% and stood at 10,825 units in September 2011 while 9,811 units were exported in September 2010. The total sales recorded were 43,462 units in September 2011 vs. 33,944 units sold in September 2010; a growth of 28%.
Expressing much happiness over India Yamaha’s continued strong performance, Mr. Jun Nakata, Director – Sales & Marketing, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. said, “We are very happy with our sales performance this month which can be attributed to our deluxe & premium segment bikes such as FZ series and YZF-R15. The newly launched R15 version 2.0 has also been received very well in the market and we are trying our best to meet the growing demand. Our powerful commuter SZ bike also continues to grow at a brisk pace. With the festive season around the corner, we expect our sales momentum to continue over the next few months.”
