If Batman had a moped, it would probably look like this
Yamaha has unveiled the F155 concept alongside the final production version, the Exciter 155, in Vietnam. It takes quite some inspiration from the YZF R15 V3 but Yamaha has given it different names like the F155, Exciter 155 or the MX-King, as per the country it is sold in.
Just one glimpse and you can notice the R1-inspired ram-air intake at the front flanked by sharp LED headlights.
The F155 concept flaunts a single seat, a Deltabox frame suspended on an upside-down fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The internationally sold Yamaha R15 gets the USD fork whereas the Indian version doesn’t.
The instrument cluster consists of a fully-digital display that gives information like speed, gear position, fuel range, RPM, and engine temperature.
Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both front and rear end with no ABS. The F155 concept comes with slicks at both the ends.

It’s not just the looks, but even the motor used for the F155 adds up to the excitement. Yamaha has housed the R15’s 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 18.6PS of power and 14.1Nm of torque.
With the liberty that the F155 gets as a concept, it also features an underbelly exhaust. Regardless of how real the road-going design may look at the end, it won’t hit Indian shores anytime soon. However, Yamaha has plans to launch something interesting in the form of the NMax 155. We expect Yamaha to launch it in India sometime during Q2 2021 with a price tag of Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom).
