From cosmetic enhancements to practical add-ons, Yamaha is offering seven accessories for the FZ-FI and FZS-FI
- Accessories list consists of seven products ranging from Rs 175 to Rs 800.
- These accessories can be bought and fitted at Yamaha dealerships.
- Can be fitted on both, the new Yamaha FZ-FI and FZS-FI.
Yamaha launched the third generation FZ-FI and FZS-FI in India last month at Rs 95,350 and Rs 97,350 (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. And in case you’ve bought one and want your FZ to stand out, the Japanese bikemaker is offering quite a few optional accessories for both the bikes. Some of these enhance the look of the bikes, while others serve a more practical purpose. Here are all the official Yamaha accessories you can fit on your FZ-FI and FZS-FI, along with the prices.
Tank pad:
A tank pad is designed to not just look good on the bike, but to also prevent scratches on the tank from your belt buckle or metal jacket zipper. This one sits nicely on the FZ-FI’s sloping tank and costs Rs 175.
Graphics set:
Yamaha specially recommends that you get this set if you have bought the FZ in the Racing Blue colour. These decals sit on the fuel tank extensions, fuel tank, side panels and tail piece. The whole set costs Rs 800.
USB charger:
The USB charger draws power from your motorcycle’s battery and can be fitted anywhere on the handlebar. Useful for charging your phone on the go but we would have liked a more weatherproof design. This one costs Rs 750.
Seat cover:
This black seat cover should protect your seat from cuts and abrasions in the long run, while the exposed stitching adds to its looks. This can be bought for Rs 300 and fitted to your bike at the Yamaha dealership itself.
Rear footrest:
While the saree guard is a mandatory requirement, this footrest attaches to the left-side pillion footrest mount. It is designed in such a way that it does not foul with the pillion footrest. Priced at Rs 400, we think it’s worth investing in if you carry pillions a lot.
Engine guard:
This has been specifically designed to gel with the FZ-Fi’s bodywork, especially the tank extensions. It protects the engine and to a certain extent, the rider’s feet in the event of a fall. This one comes with a coating that prevents rusting and is priced at Rs 800.
Skid plate:
This one is a must have if your travel entails a lot of bad and uneven roads. This one bolts underneath the bike where it remains hidden. Not only does it protect the exhaust canister, but its light weight ensures you are not adding a lot of weight to the bike. It costs Rs 300.
